"Rita" is the last daughter by our Badger Lynx. Her dams blood lines go back to the Louisiana champion LT Stevens and the great Man O War. Check out her sires web site the link is on the main page. Badgers dam is an own daughter of 100 si runner Magnolia Bar! And his sire is NCHA Derby winner Docs Lynx. Rita is one of Jerry's personal horses, bred and raised here at Bear Creek.
Rita has been used for cow horse work. She has been hauled to cutting shows as a turn back horse. Has roped cattle in the pasture and drag loaded them in a stock trailer. She has a good handle, backs, spins, side pass, turn on the fore ect.
Riding lessons on the longe line or in the round pen for both english and western. Her big trot is good for teaching riders to post.
Rides outside well. Takes on all natural obsticals with out hesitation. Not spooky. Has nice long fast walk that is perfect for trail riding.
Playdays, Barrels and poles. She does not need to see the arean before she runs; fine with crowds, lights, and loud music.
Not for the timid rider as she has lots of speed, a big springy mover, and small size make her challageing to ride.
